Recipe: Kimchi Jjigae 👄

Annyeonghaseyo! today I would love to share a korean recipe which is kimchi jjigae.
What is kimchi jjigae? kimchi jjigae is kimchi stew. it is such a simple recipe to share to all of you.  





INGREDIENTS

  • kimchi (i bought it at Giant supermarket in klang)
  • kimchi brine (the water that comes with the kimchi)
  • beef or chicken (slice)
  • tofu (slice into thick bite size)
  • green onion (daun bawang)(slice) 
  • onion (bawang kuning) (slice)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 teaspoon of sugar
  • 2 teaspoon of gochugaru (korean hot pepper flakes)
  • 2 tablespoon of gochujang (hot pepper paste)
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • 2 cups of anchovy stock or chicken broth or beef broth


DIRECTIONS

  • put the kimchi and kimchi brine into a pot.
  • place the beef onto the kimchi
  • put the sliced onion and green onion
  • sprinkle the salt and sugar
  • pour the anchovy stock
  • put the gochujang and gochugaru
  • drip some sesame oil
  • put on the fire for 10 minutes 
  • close the lid
  • after 10 minutes
  • lower the heat
  • put the slice tofu and the residue of green onion
Done! and you can eat with other banchan (side dish) or maybe just with  bowl of rice.
